My work reconciles the ancestral past with ownership of the future and is rooted in music as communal practice and personal healing ritual.

In addition to my albums of recorded material, I often create for film/TV, live performance, public exhibition, and arrange strings for various projects and artists.

I am the co-founder and artistic director of Girls Write Nashville, a creative youth development nonprofit that empowers the expression of teen artists through songwriting, production, mentorship and positive creative community. In partnership with our local artist community and Metro Nashville Public Schools, we provide over 5,000 hours of programming to over 150 students annually. Our work has been featured in NPR’s Here & Now, named “Best Teen Programming” by the Nashville Scene, and was a 2022 semi-finalist recipient of the Lewis Prize for Music.
